Frequently Asked Questions
* Please message me with any and all questions you may have. Yoga has a wealth of physical and mental aspects that can help you get stronger. I am more than happy to speak with you one on one and discuss how I can help you.
What if I’m not flexible enough or out of shape?
Yoga is for everyone and every body. we all start somewhere. In yoga, we say “you are wherever you are”. For some, that may be sitting in a chair and that’s okay. Please trust me to help you, and as you continue to practice you will grow.
What should I wear?
Two things you should think about here: #1 You want to wear something that is comfortable and will not restrict your movement. #2 Part of the freedom of being at home means no peer pressure. Yoga is about acceptance. Be free to be yourself.
What items do I need?
A yoga mat, water, and maybe a small towel. Yoga props such as blocks and straps are great as well but don’t worry if you don’t have these. I have plenty you are able to use or buy.
What should I eat or drink before class?
Many practitioners say not to eat 3-4 hours before a class. My personal thought is that I like to have a little bit of fuel in my tank prior to a class. If you want to eat 60-90 minutes before a class “think light”. Stay hydrated and you’ll feel better.
What if I am recovering from an injury/surgery or am pregnant?
Modifications are available in any and every class. Any conditions or concerns you have should be discussed in the initial consultation, or as they occur. Your communication with me is paramount to keeping you safe and well.
